How to Fest

Four steps from pass to seat.

1

Get a pass or tickets

Passes cover many films; single tickets work too. Palm members log in for member prices.

2

Reserve your screenings

On any film, choose Tickets and pick your pass at checkout. Save films with ★ to build My Festival.

3

Pick up your pass

Festival box office at the Palm Theatre, 817 Palm St. During the festival it’s in Theater 3.

4

Show your QR code at the door

Open My Account on your phone or in the SLO Film Center app. Arrive at least 35 minutes before a screening: the passholder line goes in 30 minutes before showtime, the reserved-ticket line 25 minutes before and the walk-up line 10 minutes before.

Sold out?

Try standby

No festival events are truly sold out: we hold seats for passholders across all events. If an event has moved to door sales, join the walk-up line. It goes in after passholders and ticket holders, and the remaining seats are sold card only.

Questions

After the festival, the Palm Theatre screens this year’s festival winners. All-Access passholders and volunteers get in free; standard Palm Theatre prices apply to all other tickets.

The best place to park is a downtown parking structure: 842 Palm St. and 919 Palm St. (walking distance to the Palm Theatre and the Fremont), 871 Marsh St. (across the street from Downtown Centre Cinemas) and 609 Palm St. (the newest, with EV spaces; furthest from the theaters but close to restaurants). Structures charge $2 an hour, or $8 for the day.

Street parking downtown is $3–$4 an hour; the downtown core costs more than outlying streets. Venues and parking

San Luis Obispo has a relaxed, semi-casual vibe. While we encourage guests to dress up for our evening events, this isn’t a formal black-tie festival: come stylish, comfortable and ready to enjoy.
